The Great Pumpkin

Being a proud first Granddad I wanted to share a picture of Gabriel. He will be two on Christmas Eve and to look at him now, you'd never know he was a premmie weighing in at barely 3 pounds.

There were a few scary moments but all is well now. I don't mind telling you he is the joy of our lives and we are just so thankful he is a healthy and happy child.

week 6

I found this lesson to be a bit overwhelming for me and not something I think I would use a great deal. As was mentioned, tagging is another form of favorites and since I don't use the button that often not something I'm interested in.

De.lici.ous was interesting. I visited a few sites of other systems, down under for one, and some folks there have some pretty neat posts. Again, this is not something that hold a great deal of interest for me.

Well, I did have some fun with the generator and managed to create an image, but I am having a difficult time exporting to my blog site. I guess I'll ask the guru across the hall for assistance.

As for Rollyo, I set up my own and again cannot figure out how to bring it over to this page. I can see how this would be a great tool for someone who is constantly looking for information and wants only particular items. Someone like me who hates to go to a site and spend 5-10 minutes finding what I want.

I'm going to continue to play with Meez and figure this thing out so watch for something to appear soon.

still plugging along

Here I am at week 4 learning about RSS. Quite an interesting application though I don't think I would use it very often. I did subscribe to a blogline and will try it out for awhile.



Merlin is something more for librarians I think than for my use but still a useful tool.

Now on to week 5!

technology

I am always amazed at what can be accomplished with today's technology. I looked at mashup and its pretty cool! Of course I haven't gotten the hang of it, but still trying. If anyone can offer tips and/or shortcuts, I'll take them.
